Criteria for an application for nomination under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP), category business, sub category business skills:
- The applicant will need to demonstrate a net worth of CDN $ 800,000 and must make an investment CDN $400,000 CAD to establish or to purchase and expand a business within British Colombia.
- The nomination applicant needs to create at least 3 new jobs in the business for Canadian citizens or permanent residents.
- Own at least one third (33 1/3%) of the business.
- Be involved on a day to day basis with the management and running of the business.
- Sign a Performance Agreement with the Province of British Columbia.
- Applicants must demonstrate that they have the skills and experience necessary to establish and operate a commercially viable business in Canada
- Applicants must prove that they hold sufficient unencumbered personal funds to make the required investment
- Applicants must provide a viable business proposal with their application
- Sign a Deposit Agreement with the Province of BC, if they are seeking a fast track nomination option
