Qualifying Occupations for a Federal Skilled Workers Permit for Immigration to Canada
The federal skilled workers permit allows for Immigration to Canada for applicants who achieve a pass in the points based immigration assessment of 67 points.
There are also compulsory areas that must be adhered to for the application for a federal skilled workers permit to be successful:
- include the results of your official language proficiency test, AND
have an arranged offer of employment OR
be a foreign student in a PhD program in Canada (or a graduate of a PhD program in Canada in the previous year (must meet specific criteria) OR
have one year of full-time paid work experience (must be continuous) in at least one of the following 29 priority occupations:
