The Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) has been established to help recruit specialised skills for the work place that can contribute to the economic and social growth of Newfoundland and Labrador Province.

The government of Newfoundland and Labrador has entered into an agreement with the Government of Canada whereby it can nominate suitable immigrant applicants.

Final approval of an applicant, based on the individual's health and security background check, is still the responsibility of Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
