Canadian Immigration to Saskatchewan in the Family CategoryProspective immigrants to Saskatchewan may consider the category of the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP)which facilitates family immigration. If the prospective immigrant is successful under this category, it will result in the issuing of a provincial nomination certificate. The family category under the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) is designed to assist Saskatchewan’s immigrant families who wish to sponsor eligible family members to the Saskatchewan region. Successful immigrant applications under this scheme pave the way for successful Canadian immigration to the province of Saskatchewan and the gaining of permanent residency status. In addition it meets the needs of attracting and retaining needed foreign workers. As of January 1st, 2011, applicants under the SINP Family Members Category are required to show a minimum of $10,000 CAD for themselves and $2,000 CAD for each accompanying family member, OR an offer of permanent, full-time employment. Prior to this date, these funds could be held in the supporting family member's name, however, with this change, the funds MUST be held in the applicant's name.
