Critical Impact Workers Permit for Yukon

Hospitality and Service sector workers seeking immigration to Canada that wish to reside in Yukon can apply under the Yukon Nominee Program, category Critical Impact workers.

The Yukon Nominee Program is designed to assist employers who are unable to recruit Canadian citizens or permanent residents to fulfill their recruitment needs. The program is intended to identify individuals who have the capability of bridging the labour pool shortages significant to Yukon business, industry or community.

Critical impact workers are those working in the hospitality or service sectors that fall under the national occupation classification (NOC) skills levels C or D.

The critical impact worker program is an employer driven process. The employer must have a job vacancy and identify a potential nominee

A successful immigrant application under this scheme paves the way for successful Canadian immigration to the province of Yukon and the gaining of permanent residency status. In addition it meets the needs of attracting and retaining needed foreign workers.
